From newborn to pre-school children. 0-5 years old.

The wooden toys are thoroughly wiped down with toxin-free Pure Castille soap and water to remove germs and debris.

They are then sprayed with Force of Nature, a safe, non-toxic disinfectant that kills 99.9% of germs (including SARS-CoV-2).

We apply beeswax to the wooden toys if they become dried out.

We hope your children fall in love with each carefully curated toy and we expect there to be families who wish to keep toys within their kits.

Fortunately, our memberships include a 15% discount off of retail to purchase items from your current kit to keep! If your child has found an absolute favorite new item that they just can’t part with, you can send us an email and we will make arrangement for payment.

If you're not sure if a toy is forever, at the time of exchange you'll have the option to continue renting one or more of your current set and exchange the rest of them for new ones.

We are totally aware that there will be general wear and tear. Toys can get lost too. If this happens please just let us know, and ensure you return the wooden toy to us, including broken pieces.

Don't worry, we have spares, and toys do often get found eventually. If a toy is lost forever, we can invoice you for a fair replacement value.

It seems to us that it’s all too easy to foist lazy stereotypes on our children. Boys are encouraged to play with construction toys that hone their spacial skills or ones that encourage action and adventure, whilst the toys labelled for girls are often geared towards domestic tasks and physical appearance.

Child psychologists have shown that the toys children play with develop certain skills and reinforce certain interests, which could influence future choices.

We offer free shipping and exchanges every two months to maximize your child’s learning and reduce our shipping impact.
We kindly ask you to wait until you receive an email from us informing you that it's time for an exchange, this happens six weeks after you receive your play kit. 

However, we know things don't always go as planned with children, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Subscription and payments

The monthly subscription service starts at $49 for 5 toys (a minimum 2 months sign up).
No deposit will be credited on your credit card during your rental period. The shipping fees for delivery and return are already included in the membership price, there will be no extra charge.

Should you wish to cancel, we’ll be sorry to see you go.

Cancellation eligibility

  • Pay monthly: You can cancel your plan at any time.
  • Pay half-yearly or yearly: You can cancel from 14 days before your next renewal date.

    Simply follow these steps and please allow enough time before your renewal to complete each step.

    Cancellation steps

    1. Mark all your toys as returned in your online account.
    2. Return them all back to us using your prepay shipping label.
    3. Once we’ve received your return, we will send you an email confirming it has been processed.
    4. You can then hop on to your Relove ‘My Account’ page and click ACCOUNT SETTINGS - UNSUBSCRIBE to cancel your subscription online before your plan automatically renews.

Delivery and Exchanges

We currently ship to all provinces across Canada, excluding remote locations.

If you live in a remote location in Canada, reach out and we'll see what we can do.

We offer free shipping and exchanges for all of our subscribers every 2 months to maximize your child’s learning and reduce our shipping impact.

1. You'll receive an email letting you know you can go in your Member Account to choose your toys for your next exchange.

2. We'll ship out your next subscription box. Please keep your current kit of toys until the new one arrives. Our goal is to ensure that there is no downtime between toys.

3. Once it arrives, you'll pack up the old box using the free prepaid return shipping label, pre-cut packaging tape, and fill paper.

4. You'll drop the old box off at the courrier location indicated on the prepay shipping label.

Special Instructions: We deliver your toys in cardboard boxes. We ask that you save the toy boxes and packaging materials your kit came in to reduce waste. Feel free to break the box down and store it in a closet if space is tight or use another box that may be handy. If you have any trouble dropping off your box please email us and we will assist you.

Your toys will arrive boxed in their original packaging. However, a few of our manufacturers have abandoned the practice of using toy packaging, resulting in certain toys being without packaging.

Significantly less packaging is generated through our service, which saves enormous amounts of energy in recycling.

We deliver your toys in cardboard Relove boxes. We ask that you save the toy boxes and packaging materials your kit came in to reduce waste. Feel free to break the box down and store it in a closet if space is tight or use another box that may be handy. If you have any trouble dropping off your box please email us and we will assist you.

The two-month block allows for slight developmental differences amongst children, and provides time for your child to build the intended skill-sets.

We have designed toy rental collections that should offer your child challenge and stimulation throughout the 2-month period.

Your child will engage with different educational toys at different times throughout the 2 months, based on what they are developmentally ready for.
